Gas Safety Certificate Explained
The gas safety certificate also know as the CP12, is not only a legal requirement but gives tenants and landlords peace of mind. Our fully trained engineer will check your properties gas appliances, boiler and flues. Once all the checks have been completed you will be issued with an up to date certificate which will last for 12 months. Landlords must provide their tenants a copy of this certificate within 28 days of it being issued and keep a copy for the next 2 years. Some of the checks carried out for the Gas Safety Certificate include:
- Check your appliances are working at the correct pressure
- Gas is being burnt correctly and no carbon monoxide is being released
- Safety devices on appliances are working correctly
- Check ventilation for each device is satisfactory
